How cool - NO ads

I came across something fabulous through Open (finds, minds, conversations)...[blog]. Sao Paolo has banned all outdoor advertising.

See this flickr set [flickr] for the proof.

I wish I'd thought of this

I am a hot sauce junkie. Completely and totally. My husband introduced me to Dave's Insanity one day, and we haven't turned back since.

I was poking around online last night and came across an article published in Inc. in January 07.

Long article short, a branding company in Cincinnati sent a series of hostage notes and Polariods, threatening Dave's "first born" with being handcuffed to a basement radiator, tortured with David Hasselhoff's Greatest Hits.

I thought it was brilliant. It got Dave's attention, it gave the branding company the opportunity to not only strut it's stuff, but do it with a fun product with a huge payoff. (getting ink in inc is phenomenal!)

I always think that the attention getting tactics like these are so slick, as long as you can back it up with enough strategic firepower to continue to wow the client.

Dave! If you come across this: the branding thing was awesome. Want to do the same with your consumer media coverage?? CALL ME. ;)

Hard to believe it's been a year since we first heard of the Essential Reference of Domestic Brewers and their Bottled Brands. The 3rd edition is set to hit stores in June and Type A Public Relations has been retained to spread the word!

We're thrilled to be working with Michael and the book again.

Modern Day Mercenaries

The rules of war have changed...

In the late 20th Century, the distinction between soldier and mercenary became blurred. The recent use of private military companies (PMCs) in Iraq has been more extensive than at any time in modern history. The brutal killing of four PMC employees in Fallujah in April 2004 made it clear that these “contractors” are not merely workers in a foreign land. But are the lives of such men the only thing at risk when we privatize warfare?

Shadow Company explores the moral and ethical issues private military solutions create for PMC employees, for the Western governments who foot the bill for their salaries, and for everyday citizens like you. The filmmakers traveled the globe to expose all sides of the issue, interviewing PMC staff, owners and lobbyists, former mercenaries, academics, journalists and top authors.

Type A Public Relations is working closely with Nick Bicanic, the director and producer, to obtain media coverage for this eye opening documentary.
