Well, La Tee Da!

La Tee Da is a fragrance and home decor company. They came to Type A Public Relations to launch a new product line, and promote their current line across the United States. In early 2007, we began international media relations, and began to reach out to Canadian media as well.

In the first three months of their contract, Type A Public Relations had secured space in an exclusive gifting suite at the Sundance Film Festival, hosted by Heather Graham, and less than a month later, the new Effusion Crown Candles, that weren't even available to the public until March 2007, were a huge success at the Oscar gifting suite at the Roosevelt Hotel. Heather Graham fell in love with the vanilla scents and has since been sent a new batch of candles.

The strategic communications plan that was put in place during the first month of the engagement included plans for this sort of celebrity outreach, as well as a national print, television and internet campaign. Angles for the new product, the Effusion Crown Candles, and the current line, the fragrance lamps.

The print campaign includes magazine outreach to various outlets with different focuses. The fragrance lamps can be used to replace bad scents in the home, and releases regarding pet odor, cooking scents and cigars garnered national coverage, and the effusion crown candle release has begun to receive coverage in regional decor magazines, national home magazines and the celebrity weeklies.

Type A Public Relations has recently branched out into Canadian press for La Tee Da, and has secured space at the 2007 Emmy Awards gifting suites in September.
